ELI’s train-the-trainer program teaches facilitation skills and delivers content that has been tested and refined over time. The ELI Certified Instructor Community™ (CIC) team has been working on making it easier and more convenient for participants to connect prior to attending a train-the-trainer class. Instead of mailing an overwhelming box of materials, we’ve streamlined all of the pre-work by creating a pre-certification portal where participants can download the modules online. Hard copy materials are delivered to the participants when they arrive for training, which can then conveniently be shipped back to their office.
Once participants have finished their train-the-trainer experience, they can stay connected through ELI’s Certified Instructor Community portal, which provides ongoing networking, learning, and best-practice sharing opportunities. Instructors are able to join the more than 8,000 human resource professionals who are members of ELI’s Certified Instructor Community and have instant access to downloadable presentations, facilitator guides, course videos, demo videos, legal resources, attendee handouts, and meeting resources.
Since many clients are moving away from DVD players, videos are now embedded inside the PowerPoint presentation decks. The ELI team of facilitators uses this approach and it makes the presentation more seamless and noticeably smoother and more professional in delivery. The CIC team is currently working to create an online marketplace where clients will be able to download video files to their own computers and embed them in their presentations, which will help alleviate any technological challenges participants may experience in the field.
ELI now offers a dedicated CIC hotline for questions that arise and guarantee a response within 24 hours. If CIC members have a question, need assistance, or are experiencing a problem, they can call 800.345.9176 or email email@example.com to connect and receive support through the hotline.
There are some exciting improvements on the horizon for clients with a global reach. To address logistical needs and challenges, ELI is working on an approach to virtually connect and deliver the train-the-trainer program. We are also investing in new add-on modules that will enhance and improve our virtual training methods.
