Controller

The purpose of this position is to be responsible for the management of the day to day operations of the finance department, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Fixed Assets, General Accounting, Inventory Management, Shipping and Receiving, Sales Invoicing, Taxes. The incumbent in this position will be responsible for but is not limited to the administration of the 401K and profit-sharing plan, preparation of weekly and monthly management reports, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, preparation of monthly journal entries, preparation and filing of sales taxes and property tax report.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership, coaching, facilitation and direction to the Finance Team.
  • Manages the entire finance function with responsibility for timeliness and accuracy, including
    Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory and Fulfilment, Fixed Assets, Sales Invoicing,
    Shipping and Receiving.
  • Manages the analyzation and monthly closing for Financial Reporting, including Profit & Loss,
    Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Capital and related reporting.
  • Prepares monthly reporting, including Key Management Reports & Graphs, performs in depth
    analysis on sales trends, pipeline trends, new client trends, cost analysis and key cost
    comparisons.
  • Provides CPA information for state income taxes and coordination of payments.
  • Prepares key weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, including weekly sales/AR,
    bi-weekly payroll & 401K, monthly/quarterly sales and property tax and annual budget..
  • Ensures compliance with GSA contract criteria and quarterly reporting and payment.
  • Preparation of Sales Tax & Property Tax for state audits.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Four-year college degree with 5-10 years of experience
  • Management/supervisory experience
  • Experience with Accounting software
  • Excel and Word skills
