The ValuEthics® Series

ELI developed its business ethics training series, ValuEthics®: Code, Conduct, Compliance, to help organizations build the foundation for an ethical, legal workplace culture while minimizing the risk of litigation, bad publicity, and corporate catastrophe. Participants in ValuEthics training apply their own organization’s Code of Conduct and standards to a variety of business scenarios, using practical behavioral guidelines to identify violations and, as managers, take the appropriate action to address them, or as employees, raise concerns effectively to ensure issues are handled.

Because daily ethical lapses and business catastrophes usually arise from repeated “bad acts” coupled with a failure of leaders to intervene and address improper behavior, ValuEthics focuses on prevention, detection, and correction of problems to minimize risk and build an ethical, legal culture.

The ValuEthics courses are specifically designed to address requirements set out by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Stock Exchange Rules (NYSE and NASDAQ listing requirements), the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, and other state and federal regulations. However, unlike programs that lecture participants on the intricacies of numerous complex laws and regulations, ValuEthics provides the necessary legal basis while using ELI’s award-winning, proven learning methodology to build skills and behaviors that can be applied to virtually any ethical dilemma an individual may encounter back on the job. Your organization is able to deliver a consistent message about standards, expectations, and responsibilities while fostering accountability at all levels by:

  • Articulating the rationale for the organization’s Code of Conduct, values, and mission;
  • Building the connection between ethical conduct and business success;
  • Challenging managers and employees to solve real-life workplace problems by using the organization’s Code and values;
  • Developing skills for identifying problems, raising concerns effectively, and creating an environment where concerns are welcomed and resolved
