Building a Safety-Conscious Work Environment

ELI's curriculum for the nuclear power industry is designed to increase communication between managers and employees in order to minimize organizational and public safety risks. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has recognized ELI's Safely Speaking^® series as a legitimate component to improving employee protection and safety processes within a licensed nuclear facility.

These interactive, case-study-based courses provide models for managers and employees to facilitate effective communication and ensure prompt resolution of safety issues. Managers learn about the legal and organizational reasons for building a safety-conscious work environment and how to prioritize and handle a variety of issues raised by their employees. Employees learn about their rights and responsibilities for raising concerns to protect the work environment and the general public.
