Course Overview

Through videos, discussion, and skills-building exercises, this course provides employees with a concrete model for raising safety concerns and following through on those concerns in order to support an organization’s safety commitment.

Participants also learn that they have both a right and a responsibility to address safety issues in the workplace.

Topics include the following:

  • Where to raise concerns
  • Retaliation
  • Communication expectations of supervisors and employees
  • Model for raising/resolving concerns
  • Worker rights and responsibilities
  • Co-worker ostracism
  • Refusal to work
  • Addressing the facts of a concern

Delivery Options

Safely Speaking® for Employees is a four-hour program that can be delivered by ELI®'s professional instructors or your organization’s Safely Speaking®-certified instructors.
