The awards, which were determined by independent judges from 44 countries, showcase exceptional work in the use of technology to enhance learning. ELI developed the program with its technology partner Integrated Performance Systems (IPS).

"We're proud to receive this award recognizing innovation in online learning," said ELI president Stephen M. Paskoff, Esq. "We believe the strength of all of our courses lies in a design that focuses on learning outcomes. With online courses, it's even more important to engage the learner by building and applying skills in unique ways. Civil Treatment for Employees is an example of that approach."

The program, which is also available in an instructor-led classroom version, is part of ELI's foundational Civil Treatment series of courses. With easy-to-follow guidelines for improving communication and teamwork, it teaches participants to handle workplace problems and apply what they learn to their own situations. Although the course addresses legal concepts, the content is presented in a non-legal way, allowing participants to uncover the business rationale for aligning their behavior with the law as well as organizational values and standards. The course can also be customized to incorporate an organization's policies and branding to underscore the business message and help the employer show it has taken the proper steps to avoid a discriminatory workplace.
