ELI has formalized the network of its certified instructors by introducing the ELI Certified Instructor Community™ (CIC). The CIC provides ongoing networking, learning, and best-practice-sharing opportunities for all of ELI’s certified instructors. Anyone who has successfully completed ELI’s rigorous Certified Instructor Program is automatically a member of the CIC.

ELI Certified Instructors are a select group of professionals from across industries and regions who are delivering training in their organizations to help build and maintain civil, respectful, and lawful workplaces. Because the distinction goes with them when they transfer jobs, over 5,000 people now hold ELI Certified Instructor status, and their ranks continue to grow each month.

“Whether someone was certified a month ago or years ago, ongoing learning and networking opportunities are always valuable,” says ELI President Steve Paskoff. “ We were looking for a more formal way to help instructors stay connected – with ELI and with each other – to hone their skills, share experiences, and provide feedback and input.”

Through a variety of communication vehicles, including an e-newsletter, online surveys, and discussion groups, instructors will be able to solicit ideas, share tips, keep up-to-date on ELI content and new product offerings, and learn about special instructor-only incentives and offers.

“With an inside track to ELI and an instant network of thousands of like-minded professionals, the CIC will provide added value to our certified instructors as well as their organizations,” Paskoff notes. “The ultimate goal is to provide a foundation of support to ensure the training delivery and overall implementations are meeting our clients’ business and learning objectives.”

Some of the components of the CIC include:

• a bi-monthly e-newsletter, including such regular features as: “Did you know?”, program spotlights, implementation success stories, member polls, legal updates, trainers tips, and ELI logistics and planning resources
• special instructor-only event opportunities and referral recognition
• a downloadable ELI Certified Instructor logo
