California's OAL Approves Final AB 1825 Regulations
On July 18, 2007 California’s Office of Administrative Law approved the final regulations governing AB 1825, California's mandatory sexual harassment training law. The regulations will become effective 30 days after the approval date. The California Fair Employment and Housing Commission (FEHC) had adopted this draft of the regulations on April 23.
Under AB 1825, employers with 50 or more employees or contractors are required to provide all supervisors located in California with two hours of interactive sexual harassment training once every two years. The regulations clarify key details about the development, content, interactivity, and delivery of the training. They can be found on the FEHC’s website at http://www.fehc.ca.gov/act/harass.asp.
